Transparency in Environmental Telemetry
ENID Weather (Environmental Network Insight Data) aggregates and standardizes public weather telemetry, imaging radars, and camera feeds from various federal and state agencies. To comply with the open-data licensing and terms of use of our providers, the following attributions and disclaimers are provided.
ENID Weather is an independent platform operated by Plaza Development Group LLC. We are not an official government platform. We are not affiliated with, sponsored by, or endorsed by the U.S. Department of Commerce, NOAA, the NWS, or any state Department of Transportation.
Any use of agency names, data feeds, or agency-owned visual assets (including cameras) is for informational and identification purposes only. Users must not rely on ENID Weather as a sole source for life-safety or emergency-response decisions. Data latency, API outages, or network interruptions may occur at any time.
ENID Weather utilizes meteorological and hydrological data sourced from the following federal agencies and university archives:
- National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA): noaa.gov
- National Weather Service (NWS): weather.gov
- Iowa Environmental Mesonet (IEM): Iowa State University
Mandatory NOAA/NWS Disclaimers
As required by 17 U.S.C. § 403, ENID Weather provides notice that our platform incorporates material appearing on NWS Web pages, and such NWS material is not subject to copyright protection.
The NWS provides all data and information “as is,” and the NWS disclaims any and all warranties, whether express or implied, including (without limitation) any implied warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose.
In no event will the NWS be liable to you or to any third party for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or exemplary damages or lost profit resulting from any use or misuse of this data.
Use of NOAA/NWS data by ENID Weather does not imply an endorsement or affiliation with NOAA/NWS.
The live streaming and still-frame cameras provided in the ENID USA Camera Network are the property of their respective state Departments of Transportation (DOTs). We proudly attribute these feeds to the hard work of the following state agencies:
- California (Caltrans): caltrans.ca.gov
- Michigan (MDOT): michigan.gov/mdot
- Texas (TxDOT): txdot.gov
- Oklahoma (ODOT): oklahoma.gov/odot
Note: Camera availability is entirely dependent on the host state. State DOTs reserve the right to take cameras offline for maintenance, turn them away from active accident scenes, or restrict network access during emergency events. ENID Weather cannot restore feeds that are taken offline by the host state.
Mapping Integration
Reverse geocoding and map rendering features on ENID Weather are powered by Google Maps APIs.
